I need feminism because in the journalism world, or any other world for that matter, I do not want to be perceived as soft or girly. I AM STRONG.

Being “soft” and “girly” doesn’t necessarily mean someone isn’t strong. Be careful with semantics, because you could be undermining and deprecating feminity. “Girly” or “feminine” tends to be equated with weakness and that’s the problem.
