[I need feminism, because I just spent two hours of my life talking to a young man about the complexity of world history and trying to convince him that it’s important to know this “stuff” to understand our present; and the only compliment / comment he could come up afterwards: “I think you’re cute!”]

I need feminism, because, as much as I appreciate a compliment, in these situations I’d appreciate it more if it was about my intellect and and not a cheap attempt to shut me up or to belittle my argument.
