I need feminism so that I can challenge its negative connotations and let people know that it’s not about hating men, but is about empowering oppressed women and demanding equality. There is so much more to feminism than what most people take it to be, such as exposing the negative consequences of the heteropatriarchal system we live in. If we can manage to overcome the stereotypes of feminism, we can hope for a more just and fair world.
