I need feminism because my self-worth is not equivalent to a man’s sexual appraisal of me.

I need feminism because my school teacher should not be telling hus students that all women are manipulative. IT’S NOT OKAY!

My teacher said that if you want to learn how to be manipulative, ask a women.

Not only is that completely unrelated to what we are learning, but it’s also offensive to all of your female students, and you should not be teaching young people that it is okay to talk about or to women like that.

I need feminism because my male co-worker told me that the only reason our boss is nice to me is because “I’m hot”. I work extremely hard, I get along well with all my co-workers and I’m great at my job. My appearance has nothing to do with the respect I worked hard to earn! My boss values my work, not my looks. Is it that hard to believe that a woman is a strong, valuable employee? 

Why can’t a woman be both smart AND beautiful?

I need feminism because I’m sick of men telling me what to do with my body (and having my female friends tell me to “get over it”).

I need feminism because yesterday as I was facilitating a relay race, an 8 year old boy look me in the eye and told me that the only reason I could tell him what to do is because I’m older than him, and if he were my age, he’d be faster and smarter than me because women are weak and men are better than women.  Word for word.

I need feminism because my male peers consistently make sexist remarks during general conversation, and think nothing of it.

I need feminism because I care more about your loyalty than your lats.

I’m so tired of listening to my male friends/relatives talk about how they need to “bulk up,” how they need to gain weight, how they need to spend hours upon hours at the gym. I need feminism because sexism hurts ALL of us, because we’re valuable human beings and we are MUCH MORE than what we look like.

I need feminism because when I choose not to shave, it should NOT be called “gross” OR “unflattering”.

I need femenism because too few men seem to realize that

GENDER EQUALITY =/= OPPRESSION OF MALES

Just because a woman wants to be treated fairly doesn’t mean she wants “revenge.”

I need feminism because being good at football doesn’t make me ‘a man’ or any less of a girl.

Everyone has the right to be in touch with their emotions

i need feminism because a guy friend once told me that he valued me as a person since i was his friend. but girls = girls.  Girls are people too,who deserve the same respect and value.

b) a friend got sexually assaulted our sophomore year. She had to drop out and may not return. her offender graduated and is well loved. But people think she’s just drunk and out of control…. she’s just a human being 

I need feminism because my friends look down on other girls for wearing too short of a skirt - no one assumes a guy wearing something revealing doesn’t respect himself, so why do we do it to girls?
